Windows Vista Home Premium SP2, Dell Inspiron 531, 1gig RAM.
Media Center opens OK, but wLove healsver I try to play (audio or video) I get a message stating "A necessary component of Windows Media Center is not available. Please restart Windows Media Center". Restarting always produces the same results. sfc /scannow reports no problems.
Media Player works fine. MS keeps refering me to Windows update, but I'm currently up to date there.
Any suggestions, anyone?

My Windows Vista Home Premium, Windows Media Center won't open. It says, "Close the program and Windows will find a solution to the Problem." The solution it suggests is to update Windows Vista. I have installed sp1 & sp2, and my updates are up to date.
How do I extract the files for Windows Media Center from my Windows Vista Home Premium Disc?
